Campfire Circles

Huish Woods is a proper campsite. Our main and largest campfire circle is set in a natural amphitheatre and has played host to many a good scouting sing a long for group, district and county events. The woods also have a number of small camp fire circles that will suit smaller groups and they are dotted around the site, please talk to Steve or Ann in the booking office about using these.

Fire lighting area. This is a great enclosed area for training and practising the skills needed for fire lighting with your young people. Don’t forget to bring your lighting equipment and wood as the site can not guarantee the availability of wood. Talk to the team in the office about using this space. Of course part of being part of scouting and guiding when camping is fire! So at Huish Woods we let you cook on fire!!!
